I try to keep this blog written with general ideas and the smallest amount of personal influence possible, I've slipped in before that I'm a vegetarian, and that sort of thing, but I stray from giving you my reasons, because yours are yours and mine are mine. Religion is a little different because it can vary so much within each sect from person to person. Also, religion is something you live day to day and believe constantly. It effect and affects everything you do and feel.
I do not believe in God, of any sort. If there is indeed a god out there, I am happy to go to hell for not believing. I would rather life my life the way i want to instead of by " the book".
I am a humanist. [if you don't know what that means]
and that's a lot more than a lot of Christians can honestly say.
This entry could very well go on forever because of my knowledge and depth in many of the things I'm going to touch on, but I'll do my best to touch on them briefly here, if you would like me to expand on them, please request it in a comment and I will be happy to make a post specifically for you.
A lot of Christians ( and i speak about Christians because I'm surrounded by them in GA and they're the easiest for me to make fun of) say they're one thing and act another, a lot of them wear WWJD bracelets and never stop to actually think about it. A lot say how often they go to church ( with their friends) and how close they feel to god, but are bastards just as obsequious as the next person.
Now, lying is a sin, living a lie has to be something completely different.
Although, it's not right to hate a religion for it's followers. ( while some of them may be pretty horrid [ video link] ). There have been countless horrible things committed in the name of god, if god exists, and i where him, i would stop this insanity, as well as the insanity of the Crusades and every other religious war.
People also claim to see god or jesus in all sorts of things, tortillas, pancakes and water stains to mirrored wood grain ( no joke!) which is insanity. Touch with religion isn't something to be shouted from the mountain tops unless that's what you're instructed to do. Do Tibetans get on the news for meeting Gandhi? no. They're humbled by the situation at hand, they don't want face time with the press because of it.
What to do!
Lets start with some of the more important things from the bible:
1.) Noah's ark
the length given by god in noah's dream was 300 cubits, a cubit is from your elbow to finger top, on average, a foot and a half. A wooden boat this large would not hold it's shape in the water, covered in pitch or not.
All the animals... for noah to have collected a pair of all the animals in the world at the time in seven days, he would've had to have collected about 50 animal per second.
now, there are other references to "clean" animals, and "dirty" animals, which were different religions names more or less stating if they were good for sacrifice to the lord. If you use this smaller reference words, then he would be down to something like 570 animals in the 7 day period.
The flood. Not only would noah have drown from such a high moisture content in the air alone, his bones would've been crushed by the pressure change. Also, there would have had to have been 5 times as much water as there is now, we've only gained water since then ( through meteors, loosing a little urine and food waste in space, we're still victors)
Some think that i meteor made from ice came down and brought the water, this does happen, but for something that large to hit the earth, it would disrupt the entire hemisphere on impact, not to mention that as soon as it hit the atmosphere it would create such a large explosion, it would raise the atmosphere's temperature some 120000 degrees F ( hotter than the sun i believe) killing everything left, and flashing into steam the top several feet of water already cesspooled.
These are all facts, i'm done with Noah though...
2.) Evolution is still going on, right now, it's been proven in all sorts of animals, no, there is no man/ape middle ground fossil yet, and there may never be, but you can not deny evolution all together with the evidence we have now.
3.) jesus didn't die from being nailed to the cross, or stabbed, with his arms nailed as they were (through the wrists, not hands, hands would've ripped out) he would've suffocated in mere hours, not days.
4.) Joseph and Mary mostly had kids after Jesus, even if you want to say he was a immaculately conceived miracle. Joseph and Mary were married, you don't get married and just not have kids, and at the time, if you had sex, you more or less planned on having another kid.
5.) Most religious stories were written in other books before the existence of the bible, i don't have any online resources to pull this from this time, mainly because their are so many, but it's true, trust me on this one.
There are so many more things!
I'm just going to stop while I'm ahead and let the rest go to you, the reader.
Comment with something else you'd like to hear about.

I really do feel the same about most of these things.
Yessir.
you know how I feel.
very clearly.
your views on evolution are flawed
evolution has never been proven.
only adaption.
we have never seen one species of animal, "evolve" into another.
Darwin himself once stated that if we do not observe evolution(species to new species) then the theory should be thrown out and a new one should be adapted.
Jesus would not have "suffocated" in mere hours of being nailed on the cross. the romans chose crucifixtion as a method of torture. people would stay alive for days until they eventually died of exfixiation, which isnt the same of suffocation. if jesus died in mere hours, it would have been because he was stabbed in the side.
but regardless, youre pseudo intellecualism is impressive in is own regard.
Evolution: what you said is both true and false, adaption is part of evolution, and I'm not talking about evolution being proven on a Macro scale, more of a micro, within individual species... like Kangaroos, in Australia, there are some who have learned to live in trees etc etc ( look for the article, google, what have you, search.)
The fact they live in trees is adaption, the fact that their bones now heal much faster than their previous generation, that's evolution.
The only reason the live in the trees is because the trees in Australia and nearby are more or less empty, they did it because they could, it was a niche they could fill.
They weren't evolved to live in trees to start, they just started climbing them, they fell down a lot, so on so on, thus broke bones and died often. The ones who didn't die, natural selection, etc, babies, etc, until the only ones left to breed had stronger and faster healing bones, take this as you will, you're right, it's not a new animal, but it is a smaller, more evolved, kangaroo.
Jesus: You said exfixiation, you meant asphyxiation, which is all good and fine, anyway...
The only difference in asphyxiation and suffocation is that... well, nothing, medically speaking a t least, pull out an encyclopedia, look it up. More or less, you die because there is too much carbon dioxide, not enough oxygen in your body and organs.... so yeah, they are the same. The only torturous part about it for the most part was the nailing ( or tying to start with, they didn't use nails that often actually).
Having to support your own weight by your wrists causes hyper extension in your lungs, suffocation or asphyxiating you in a range of hours. If jesus did indeed have a foot block or sidle under his feet, he could've lived a lot longer than hours, but often the roman soldiers were instructed to break their legs after a while to hasten their death.
The longest he could have lived ( with foot block, possibly even rope, is three days before dehydration would kill him)
ANYWAY
if you're going to say I'm wrong, do it well. I know a lot more about what I talk about than what I put out there on most occasions, and if you want to debate things with good reason, like you did in this case, leave an e-mail address so that we can have this discussions in private, because I doubt that you will read this, while some other people might.
It's nice to know I have readers though.
Peace.
